57 Miles to get to Work

Well it's Thursday November 10th and it is a nice day.  This is not normal weather for Seattle, right now we should be in the 40 days and 40 nights of rain.  My 13 mile trip to work was 57 miles in the sunshine!  Here is a photo with Mt. Rainier in the background near Enumclaw.

Mt. Rainier Loop

Road to Sunrise
Here is a great ride around Mt. Rainier National Park.  Start by riding out highway 410 about 30 miles from Enumclaw you arrive at the entrance to park.  Once in the park remember the speed limits, for two reasons, one the park rangers and their radar and two the most important to enjoy the sights.  Take the road to Sunrise and enjoy the curves getting there.
Sunrise Vistor Center
After your visit to Sunrise take a right on SR 410 ** bear right on Highway 123 to the Stevens Canyon Entrance and take the road to Paradise.  **option an one worth taking continue on 410 up to Chinook Pass for the views and Tipsoo lake, then backtrack to the 123 cut off.
Mt. Rainier from Paradise
Then after Leaving Paradise heading towards Longmire stop by Narada falls for the view.  There are visitor centers at Sunrise, Ohanapecosh, Paradise and Longmire.  Just think about it taking the bike is the way to go, take your time and enjoy the views.   Our mileage for the day about 230!

Snow in August

When you take off on a Motorcycle ride in August what do you expect to find?

Flowers, Sparkling Lakes, Sunshine, Wildlife... How about a little SNOW!

Our ride took us to Chinook Pass at the border of Mt. Rainier National Park.

Pizza in Wilkeson

Took a ride out to Wilkeson (The gateway to the Carbon Glacier Mt. Rainer National park).  Stopped at a Mom and Pop pizza and ice cream shop that we love.

Keep on Ridin'
